I purchased this for use as a back up for my Nikon D90. While the battery provides excellent performance and life, this is a must if you are touring and do not have access to ac power, or you are shooting a function and you do not want to be caught short of power.

I cant tell the difference between the one that came with the camera and the "Spare." The last the same, charge the same, etc.

I like this battery for several reasons. Its is vey light, long life and after the innitial charge the remaining charges are about a third of the time.
